Built in 1610, this historic house bears the latin inscription, thought to be by Cicero, which translated means 'While I breathe I hope'.
With its Vendean 'bulls eye window' and ancient stone feeding trough situated in the entrance to the house, it is full of historic features and just oozes character. An important house of it's time, the community knew it as the Chateau. It was the center of the community and provided both the village oven and well. Its rooms are large and airy with a separate lounge/bedroom area for teenagers or grandparents!
